You will need a U.S. or Canadian-based credit or debit card to send your money over the phone at 1-800-CALL-CASH or online. Other fees may apply.

12. What is the MTCN and why do I need it?

The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) is a number printed on your receipt that allows you and Western Union track your transaction. It is also required for the receiver to have the MTCN to pick up funds in India.

13. How can I ensure that my money gets there quickly?

Supply correct contact details in case Western Union needs to contact you. Also, be sure to have your recipient's correct full name and address. The recipient will be required to show valid identification and the MTCN.

14. How can I pay for a Western Union Money Transfer transaction?
